Oakland Tenants' Rights Handbook, updated Fall 2023

About the Handbook
We are a group of volunteer tenants’ counselors, tenant organizers, and community members. We saw a need for a comprehensive Oakland tenants’ rights book. Some of us advise tenants through the Oakland Tenants Union, some have worked with the Oakland tenants’ rights hotline at Causa Justa::Just Cause, and some of us organize tenants with Tenant and Neighborhood Councils or East Bay Solidarity Network. We are Oakland tenants who have been using this information to help us and our friends and neighbors stay in our homes, and want to share it with many others so you can stay in your homes, too.
