Below are the candidates and measures that OTU has endorsed so far for the 2022 election. OTU is still making endorsements so this list is not final.
YES on Measure Q (Authorize public Housing)
Right now, it is illegal to build a public housing project unless a majority of voters approve it. Measure Q would authorize 13,000 units of public housing.
YES on Measure U (Infrastructure)
Measure U will pave Oakland streets, upgrade Oakland libraries and fund additional housing for essential workers and their families.
Measure V (Just Cause ExpansioN)
Measure V gives Just Cause Eviction protections to more Oakland tenants and protects teacher and school children during the school year from eviction.
Measure W (Fair Elections)
Measure W increases transparency in local elections and give each Oakland voter $100 in democracy dollars. It will lower the the maximum campaign contribution amount to reduce the risk of corruption.
