Endorsements

Below are the candidates and measures that OTU has endorsed so far for the 2022 election. OTU is still making endorsements so this list is not final.

YES on Measure Q (Authorize public Housing)

Right now, it is illegal to build a public housing project unless a majority of voters approve it. Measure Q would authorize 13,000 units of public housing.

YES on Measure U (Infrastructure)

Measure U will pave Oakland streets, upgrade Oakland libraries and fund additional housing for essential workers and their families.

Measure V (Just Cause ExpansioN)

Measure V gives Just Cause Eviction protections to more Oakland tenants and protects teacher and school children during the school year from eviction.

Measure W (Fair Elections)

Measure W increases transparency in local elections and give each Oakland voter $100 in democracy dollars. It will lower the the maximum campaign contribution amount to reduce the risk of corruption.
